Alargada, long white rounded beans, delicious when used in a casserole or braised with summer vegetables. A medium sized, ready-cooked haricot bean that is similar to the Italian Cannellini bean. Dense and slightly chewy, these beans hold together very well in cooking. Their texture is a little floury with a pleasant firmness in the mouth and flavours of fresh vegetables with savoury hints. Perfect served simply with good olive oil, as they do in Spain.
