Valobra

What makes Valobra soap perfect is the hands that create them. Valobra has been obsessed with craftsmanship and attention to detail since Vigilio Valobra opened his factory in Genoa in 1903. Each stage of soapmaking is monitored with extreme care and attention to detail by the master soapmaker. From the exact dosage of ingredients to the hand wrapping of each bar of soap, Valobra is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Valobra soaps are made using the traditional 'full-boiled' or 'Marseille' manufacturing process, a time-consuming procedure that is as old as it is romantic. Each stage is essential in contributing to the quality of the soap. Valobra starts with just three simple ingredients and is mixed using an ancient "levata da lisciva" technique resulting in the purest soap, free from impurities. Naturally-based cream is then added, giving it a rich, full-bodied lather, helping to rapidly rebalance the skin, leaving it soft and super-moisturized. Each Valobra soap matures for at least two months to achieve optimum consistency and is rolled four times to achieve optimum homogeneity. The ergonomic shape of the Valobra soap is the result of careful, intentional design. This perfect ovoid is the ideal shape for a bar of soap, nestling seamlessly in the palm of the hand, allowing for a pleasant grip that releases a fragrant, dense lather. It takes two months for a bar of Valobra soap to reach your hands because there is no other way to make the finest soap in the world.
