Tasting Notes
Raka Sauvignon Blanc : Pale straw colour with a lavish bouquet of grapefruit, kumquat, granadilla and a touch of gooseberries. These characters follow through to the palate complemented by mineral tones true to the decomposed sandstone in which the Sauvignon Blanc is cultivated. Crisp green apple finish
Raka Spliced : With rich berry aromas and ripe red fruit, prunes and hints of oak and spices on the nose. The palate reflects the fruity flavours of ripe cherries with a spicy, smoky undertone. Wonderful balance between fruit and wood with a juicy finish.
Raka Pinotage : Dark Ruby colour. Perfumes of sweet cherries, blackberries, plums and a spiciness on the nose. Same fruity characters on the palate are wrapped up in soft oak hints. The ripe subtle tannins create a wine ready to enjoy now.
Raka Sangiovese : Freshly crushed blueberries, cranberries with hints of spicy cloves and cinnamon. Flavours of roasted cherry tomatoes and earthy tones on the palate, soft and velvety on the finish.
Raka Quinary : Dark plum colour. A complex nose of spice, ripe berries and blackberries with slight forest floor earthy tones.
Mouth filling fruit and elegant oak flavours, juicy tannins and lingering after taste.
Raka Biography Shiraz : This rich and deep coloured Shiraz reveals a lot of white pepper, dried herb tinge complimented by pepper coriander tones, with hints of sweet blue & black fruit succulence. These aromas follow through on a silky full body palate with fine dry tannin with a rich and long finis
